Does SEO Truly Guarantee Search Engine Placement?
This question is asked of many SEO professionals and those who are honest will always say “Absolutely not, there are no guarantees in advertising.” While many people see SEO as “black magic” or some other mysterious subject there are strategies employed that are constantly shifting. Google is every SEO professional’s 1 target, and that target works to constantly stay one step ahead of those who would frivolously use marketing. To this end pieces of writing that are stuffed with keywords and little else will not help anyone to gain higher search rankings, and indeed if so-called “blackhat” methods are employed too much then the site could be removed from Google results.
While SEO is not a guarantee it is certainly an often effective strategy for bringing traffic to websites that otherwise would never go there. The ability to tell how many unique visitors a site may receive or how long it will take is impossible to gauge. Figuring out whether or not Google will buy into whatever strategy is being used or whether or not that strategy will result in a higher page rank is also questionable. So long as the SEO professional employs the use of quality content in the end their strategy should bear fruit.
